It is my goal in 2017 to read 52 books. That's one a week. A little crazy but hey - in an ever evolving industry that never sleeps it is good to continue reading a learning, but also sometimes it is good to escape the reality we live in and dive into another world. And with that in mind here are the books that I have read - think everyone should read - or is in my rotation.

Have a book recommendations? Tweet it to me @samanthahughey!

Do Cool Sh*T: quit your day job, start your own business, and live happily ever after (miki agrawal)

Brands Win Championships (jeremy darlow) --> he's my boss and a super smart dude, beyond stoked to learn from him daily. Not really a plug because of that but because of the fact that this book is awesome. And you need to read it.

Shoe Dog (phil knight)

A New Brand World: eight principles for achieving brand leadership in the twenty-first century (scott bedbury)

Who Moved My Cheese? (spencer johnson) --> an oldie but when you start a new job in a completely new part of the country solo this is something that can make you appreciate the changes opposed to giving into the stress of the circumstances.

Ready Player One (ernest cline) --> do yourself a favor, GO READ THIS. Especially if you are a little nerdy/love the '80s. It won't disappoint.

Sneaker Wars: the enemy brothers who founded adidas and puma and the family feud that forever changed the business of sports (barbara smit)

The Circle (dave eggers)

Steve Jobs (walter isaacson)

Hatching Twitter: a true story of money, power, friendship, and betrayal (nick bilton) --> if you ever speak in just 140 characters this is a must read. Seriously. The creation of this social network is insane and amazing.

This Is Your Brain on Sports: the science of underdogs, the value of rivalry, and what we can learn from the t-shirt cannon (l. jon wertheim)

Armada (ernest cline)

Concussion (jeanne marie laskas)
